SpringFire Names Scientific Director

Stelzer brings 30 years of clinical cytometry experience

Gregory Stelzer, Ph.D. has been named scientific director of SpringFire Laboratory Network. Dr. Stelzer’s responsibilities include development and implementation of corporate and scientific strategies in addition to management of the scientific team.

“In clinical laboratories and particularly flow cytometry, Greg Stelzer is among the top in the world,” said Jim McClintic, managing partner of SpringFire Laboratory Network. “Dr. Stelzer brings significant experience in clinical trials — particularly cell analysis — to SpringFire, and we are very excited to have him join our team.”

Dr. Stelzer has extensive experience in the field of clinical cytometry. During his 30-year career, he has established an academic core cell analysis lab, founded a first-in-market clinical and industrial cell analysis commercial reference lab, and subsequently led the R&D program for a national esoteric testing lab business. Most recently, Dr. Stelzer served as senior vice president of advanced development at Nodality, Inc., where he was responsible for the design and build-out of the laboratory facility that housed the company’s GLP and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) lab operations.
